As pressure and stress bear down on me, I find joy in your commands. Your laws are always right; help me to understand them so I may live. –Psalms 119:143, 144 NLT
When I read this verse I was reminded of the purity and simplicity of God’s commandments. While the world provides us telephone book size rules to follow, of how we should live our lives, God only provides us twelve.
Although we may not abide to every commandment to the fullest, but if we do slip up, we are given a chance of forgiveness and redemption.
Every week, pressure and stress have always bear down on me; because, of the rules that the world has given onto us. But until I was reminded of the simplicity and beauty of God’s commandments, Life has gotten a little bit easier.
So this week, remember to keep God’s commandments not just in your heart, but in your mind. And remember how stress-free it is to follow God’s commandments versus the rules of the world.
