Motivation Monday: Eight Tips On Being Succesful

It’s Monday, the beginning of a new week, and you need words of encouragement to start your week off right.

This week’s words of motivation: Follow Eight Tips On Being Successful.

In this short 3min TED talk video we see marketer and success analyst, Richard St. John, give a straightforward talk on his tips on success. After seven years of research, including 500 interviews with successful CEOs and entrepreneurs, Richard has finally came up with an answer to the hardest question that had ever been given to him, by a young high school teenager: What leads to success? And in doing so, he has listed eight simple tips on being successful: Passion, Work, Good, Focus, Push, Serve, Ideas, and Persistence.

What I enjoy most from his TED talk was not only his dry humor, but his ability to condense his seven years of research into a 3 min presentation: he effectively conveyed his message in an efficient manner and still made the presentation fun and engaging for everyone to enjoy. Because of this, I feel he should be given a award for “The Most Concise And Condensed TED talk” in under 3 mins. It is not everyday that you see a “TEDster” give a 3 min speech on a very important topic: “Success”

My favorite tip from Richard St.John’s TED talk presentation is “Push;” and how we sometimes need our mothers to do just that.

So start this week by following these Eight tips on success, and more importantly listen to your mother, father, and/or parents; because, they might make you into the next millionaire!
