Motivation Monday: Find Courage and Don’t Fear Failure

It’s Monday, the beginning of a new week, and you need words of motivation to start off your week right. And so today’s words of motivation is: Find Courage and Don’t Fear Failure.

Toonami happens to be my favorite childhood television network show. And in this video we not only see clips of popular anime shows, but important messages:  Finding Oneself; Courage; and Creating Your Own Destiny. Even though this video was meant for children and teenagers, it also applies to adults as well. All of us at some point of our lives have questioned our existence, but more so (especially nowadays) our career paths.

Instead of relying on ourselves we rely on others to tell us what career path to follow. But when we hit a wall or fail at pleasing our boss, we criticize our incompetence–when we really don’t need to.

One part of the video that really struck me is when that young man was asked this question, while be violently shaken by that young woman:

“Are you going to keep running away?!?”

I do not know what he was running away from, but it spoke so many volumes to me. We are afraid of failure and, as such, we runaway from it. We can’t always be perfect, but at least have some courage to face adversity when you are up against it.

If you want to be an entrepreneur then you must be courageous–and don’t fear failure. Create your own path and not let others create it for you. If you don’t like the job that you have now, then have the courage to leave. I understand that we must please others, but if we can’t please ourselves, then our productivity will decline–attitude is everything.

Find your path; Find what you love; and Do It! Don’t be afraid of negative criticisms.

Believe in Yourself! and Don’t Fear Failure!
